A retainer is a lifetime commitment. Your teeth will always want to move. To maintain the smile achieved with orthodontic treatment, you MUST wear some form of retainer forever. Retainers will need to be replaced periodically depending on how much wear and tear they endure. If you find that yours needs to be replaced, please call for an appointment to have new ones made. A new impression will be needed every time a retainer is made.
