Since people often associate braces with children and adolescents, many adults are uncomfortable at the thought of wearing braces around the workplace and among their peers. However, close to 50% of our patients at Cherry Creek Orthodontics are adults – and 10% of those adults are over the age of 55.
Some adults have never had braces, while others had braces as a child but now have a regressed bite. If you are afraid of the “metal mouth” stigma, we can help. Today’s orthodontic technology offers many new types of braces that are less noticeable, more comfortable, and faster at achieving results than traditional metal braces.
At our practice, adults can choose from the following braces options:
- Clear/ceramic – Similar to traditional braces, but made to match the color of your teeth, making them virtually invisible.
- Invisalign® – Uses transparent, removable aligner “trays” to shift your teeth, instead of brackets and wires. Dr. Rudman is an Elite Provider of Invisalign, so call today if you are interested in this product!
- Synergy-R – A self-ligating bracket system, meaning no rubber bands are necessary to hold the wires to the bracket. Tooth movement is more comfortable, and adjustments are faster.
- Incognito™ – Placed behind your teeth (on the back side) so they are not visible when you smile.
