Who can study or get excited about learning when they hurt, feel badly about how they look and can’t eat healthy foods?
And finally, on an aesthetic note, consider this: fair or not, those struggling to get ahead in the job market quickly find that bad teeth (and the self-consciousness that results), can become a major barrier in actually landing a job. If your teeth are bad, you’re less likely to get a job requiring interaction with clients, customers or the public, no matter how qualified you might be.
